Operating in the license-free 900 MHz ISM band, the SRM8200 eliminates recurring subscription fees while providing dependable connectivity in locations where cellular networks are unavailable or unreliable.
Built with Advanced Adaptive FHSS technology, the SRM8200 automatically adapts to changing RF conditions to maintain robust communication in congested and noisy wireless environments. With RF data rates up to 4 Mbps and communication distances of up to 40 miles (64 km) line-of-sight, the modem supports demanding industrial applications requiring both high throughput and long-range performance. Coverage can be extended further using repeaters or high-gain antennas.
Supporting both Ethernet and serial communications, the SRM8200 easily integrates with PLCs, RTUs, SCADA systems, instrumentation, and other industrial control equipment. Built-in Network Now provides a live network map with real-time RF diagnostics across the entire wireless network, while Edge Linc enables edge computing through an integrated Linux platform for hosting custom applications closer to the field.
The SRM8200 wirelessly transfers industrial Ethernet and serial data using Adaptive FHSS technology, continuously hopping across frequencies within the 900 MHz band to minimize interference and maintain reliable communication. Intelligent error correction and retransmission mechanisms help ensure accurate data delivery, while built-in network diagnostics provide real-time visibility into wireless network performance. The integrated Edge Linc™ platform also enables localized data processing and application hosting, reducing latency and supporting advanced IIoT deployments.
