The Dwyer Series PBLT2 Submersible Level Transmitter measures liquid level by sensing the height of liquid above the transmitter, referenced to atmospheric pressure. It uses a piezoresistive sensing element housed in 316 stainless steel for reliable operation in demanding environments.
A protective cage and large-diameter 316 stainless steel diaphragm seal help prevent clogging and resist damage from floating solids. The transmitter is designed for wastewater, sludge, slurry, chemical storage, and other applications where debris and harsh conditions can affect level measurement.
The PBLT2 includes a shielded, vented polyurethane cable with a ventilation tube that automatically compensates for changes in atmospheric pressure. A maintenance-free filter helps prevent water droplets and particles from entering the sensor.
The transmitter is submerged in the liquid, where its piezoresistive sensing element measures pressure from the liquid above it. The vented cable references atmospheric pressure to compensate for changes in air pressure, allowing the transmitter to determine liquid level. The resulting signal can be used by a compatible monitoring or control system to track levels in tanks, pits, sumps, and reservoirs.
